Wi-Fi is turned On/Off manually, but in Windows 10 it is also possible to automatically turn on the Wi-Fi after a specific time period. The Wi-Fi scheduling is a very interesting feature that comes very handy when you have usage limit and you want to turn on the Wi-Fi on a specific time. This functionality does not affect the manual turning ON the Wi-Fi.
Turn ON Wi-Fi After Specific Intervals of Time
Turn Wi-Fi automatically on from the Settings app and from the Action Center. All you need is to open the Action Center by clicking the Wi-Fi button in the System Tray. Now click on the Wi-Fi button to turn it off. It will add a new drop-down menu in the Wi-Fi button context menu. There are 4 options including manually, 1 hour, 4 hours and 1 day.
The same functionality is also available in the Settings > Network and Internet > Wi-Fi under the Wi-Fi options when the Wi-Fi switch is Turned Off.
All the other options other than manually turns on after the specific time period expires. This option is available in the Windows 10 insider build and all the other latest releases.
