Normally, Instagram uses the Proxima Nova font for comments and captions. You cannot change it but there’s a way to add funky fonts to Instagram Captions and Bios.
Instagram supports Unicode scripts including, mathematical operators, Greek symbols, Hebrew letters, and also some basic letter styles like , , and ⓛⓔⓣⓣⓔⓡⓢ ⓘⓝ ⓒⓘⓡⓒⓛⓔⓢ.
Here’s how you can use fake fonts on Instagram:
Open the browser in your android/iPhone, and go to CoolFont.org.
Enter the text in the Text box, it will present you with around 100 different text options.
Tap on the “Decorate” button to insert additional text like hearts, stars, and random patterns.
When you are done selecting the font, tap on the “Copy” button to copy it.
Now you can paste it anywhere you want to, e.g. put it as your Instagram Caption, your Bio, or simply change your Instagram name.
