In this guide, we will show you how to change the location where downloaded apps are saved on your iPhone.
Change the Location for Recent Downloaded Apps on iPhone
Follow the steps mentioned below in order to learn how to change the default location for recent apps on your iPhone having iOS 14:
First, go to the “Settings” app in your device. You can access the app by searching it through the Spotlight feature or manually finding the app in your device and tapping on the gear icon to open it.
In “Settings”, select the “Home Screen” option.
Under the “Newly Downloaded Apps” heading, you will find two options from which you can choose either one for the recent apps.
Add to Home Screen: Before iOS 14, all the apps resided in iPhone’s Home Screen. It gave a really messy look to the main screen of the iPhone. If you are used to the previous iOS theme, choose this option.
App Library Only: If you will select this option for the new apps downloaded on your device, they will go to the library which will save the home screen of the iPhone from cluttering. To navigate to the App Library, swipe right through all of your Home screen pages.
Whichever option you have chosen, from now on all the new downloaded apps will rest there. However, you can manually change the location of the apps on the Home Screen or App Library. If you have chosen the “App Library Only” option, you can quickly find the new apps in the “Recently Added” section of the App Library.
