Gmail doesn’t really have a folder option, it has “Labels”. Labels are used to organize emails, exactly like in folders. You can assign an email to multiple labels, unlike traditional folders. You can stop emails from cluttering in your Gmail by adding them to labels.
In this guide, we’ll show you how to create them in Gmail.
How to Create Label in Gmail for Desktop
Here’s how you can do it:
First, launch your favorite browser and go to Gmail Official site. Log-in to your already existing account if it’s not already logged in.
Next, click the “Settings” icon which looks like a gear in the top-right corner of the window.
Select the “See all settings” option at the top of the drop-down menu.
Next, select the “Labels” tab on the “Settings” window.
Scroll down to the “Labels section and click the “Create new label” button.
The “New label” pop-up will appear, enter the label name in the textbox under “Please enter a new label name:” heading and click “Create”.
A notification will appear in the bottom-left corner of the screen. Your label will be created and will now appear on the left-hand side of your inbox.
