Creating Shutdown Shortcut on Windows 10 Desktop
To create the shutdown shortcut icon, follow the steps mentioned below:
- Right-click on the desktop then hover over the “New” option and click on the “Shortcut” option from the menu.
- The “Shortcut menu” will appear on the screen. Type the following command under the “Type the location of the item” box:
Shutdown.exe /s /t 00
- Click on the “Next” button after typing the command. Then type the name of the new shortcut created. By default it is named as “Shutdown”, you can change it to some other name of your choice.
- Click on the ‘Finish” button once done typing the name for the desktop shortcut.
