Instagram has become more user friendly since it’s the last update. Now the users can limit who can interact with them by restricting the users or turning off comments for Instagram posts.
Turning off comments for your Instagram post will restrict other accounts from commenting on your post. The already existing comments will be hidden when you restrict comments for a particular post. If you turn the comment back on for the post, previous comments will be restored and other user accounts will be able to comment again.

How to Turn-Off Comments for Instagram Post
There are two ways to turn off the comments for Instagram posts. You can do it while sharing the picture or video, or after you have posted something.
Here’s how you can disable the comments when creating a post to share on Instagram.
First, open the Instagram app and tap on the “upload new picture/video” button. Select the picture or video from your Photo gallery.
Next, choose the filter for your post, and tap on “Next”.
On the caption/location screen, tap on “Advanced Settings”.
Toggle on the “Turn Off Commenting” option.
Comments will be turned off for the post you are about to share on your Instagram feed. Finally, tap on “Share” to upload the post.

Now to turn off comments for the already shared post on Instagram, follow the steps mentioned below:
Navigate to the Instagram post that you would like to turn-off comments for and tap on the three dots on the right side above your post.
From the pop-up menu, select “Turn Off Commenting”.
Comments will be turned off for the selected post. You can turn it back on from the post settings and tapping on “Turn On Commenting”.
