Windows 10 has a touch keyboard for computers and tablets which supports Auto-correction and Words suggestion. Text prediction is a very useful feature that Windows 10 has put in its keyboard. It doesn’t only save time but also takes care of your spelling mistakes. Before the Windows 10 version 1803, this option was only available for software keyboard but now you can also have it for your hardware keyboard.
Enable Text Prediction for Hardware Keyboard
To enable Text Prediction in your PC with Windows 10 version 1803, follow the instructions given below:
- Open Settings in your Windows either from Start menu or by pressing Windows button + I or from Message center quick access options.
- Click on Devices in Windows Settings
- Select Typing from the left menu in Devices window
- Under the Hardware Keyboard heading, enable Show text suggestions as I type option.
Note: The text prediction option is not available for all languages, check if it’s available for your language and enables. We have checked it for English (US).

To enable Auto-correct for misspelled words for Hardware Keyboard in Windows 10, follow the instructions given below:
- Open Settings in your Windows either from Start menu or by pressing Windows button + I or from Message center quick access options.
- Click on Devices in Windows Settings
- Select Typing from the left menu in Devices window
- Under the Hardware Keyboard heading, enable Auto-correct misspelled words I type.
