iPhone X or newer/iPad running iOS 12 or later: Swipe down from the top right of the screen.
iPhone 8 or earlier/iPad running iOS 11 or earlier: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen. (Control Center first appeared in iOS 7).
- When the control center pop-up, tap on the Rotation Lock icon under the Wi-Fi section.
- As you tap on the icon, iOS will give a brief message and the color of the icon will turn white from the transparent color which will show that the rotation lock is activated.
When the Rotation lock is activated, a small icon will appear next to the battery sign at the status bar. You can unlock the screen orientation by again tapping on the icon from Control Center.
