  1. Open Google Chrome and go to the Settings given on the right corner of the Window.
  2. From the menu select History, and select History option from the History extended menu or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+H

How to wipe Google Chrome History Manually

You can easily wipe Google Chrome Browsing History manually. To do so, follow the steps given below:

  1. Open Google Chrome and go to the Settings given on the right corner of the Window.
  2. From the menu select History, and select History option from the History extended menu or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+H
  3. Now you can see the History tab opened on your screen. If you want to only delete certain browsing data you can do it by selecting them and clicking on Delete option given on the right corner of the tab.

  4. Clicking on Delete option will ask you “Are you sure you want to delete these pages from your history?” Click on Remove

  5. If you want to clear all the browsing data, click on Clear Browsing Data are given on the left panel of the History tab. It will take you to another tab.

  6. You can see a Clear Browsing Tab on your screen. Now you can choose if you want to delete history from last hour, last 24 hours, last 7 days, last 4 weeks or all time, select your preference and click on Clear Data. This will remove all browsing history, cache memory, and cookies.

The above-mentioned way will just remove data for one time. If you want your browser to automatically delete the history/cookies, follow the below-mentioned procedure.

How to wipe Google Chrome History Automatically

Google Chrome saves the user from deleting Chrome history every time they are done using Chrome or if they forget to wipe it by automatically deleting it for the users. You can have your browsing data wiped automatically by following the steps given below:

  1. Open Google Chrome and go to the Settings given on the right corner of the Window.

  3. Scroll down the Settings to see Advanced option given on the bottom of the page.

  4. By clicking on Advanced option, the extended list will appear.
  5. Select Site Settings under Privacy and Security

  6. Click on it, you’ll be taken to the Site Settings. Select Cookies option given under Permission

  7. Under Cookies, you’ll find a Keep local data only until you quit your browser Toggle it on.

Following this method will automatically delete browsing data when you’re finished with browsing and close the Google Chrome Window.
